Leigh Ann Tasillo, PsyD

I’m a Licensed Psychologist with more than 20 years of experience working in inpatient, residential, day treatment, university, and private practice settings. I first became interested in psychology as a high school student and theater kid, fascinated by why people do what they do. That early curiosity grew into a lifelong commitment to understanding human behavior and supporting people through meaningful change. I began my formal training at North Carolina State University and later completed my master’s and doctoral degrees at the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University in Washington, DC.

My therapeutic approach is integrative, evidence-based, and deeply collaborative. I believe that change happens when you feel truly seen, supported, and understood, and I strive to meet you exactly where you are at the start of treatment. I’m direct in my style and use humor when it’s helpful, while also creating a nonjudgmental, grounded space where you can explore your experiences with honesty and safety. Together, we examine how your thoughts, emotions, history, and relationships shape the patterns you’re experiencing today, tailoring our work to your unique needs and goals.

I work with adults of all ages and backgrounds, with particular interest in supporting individuals experiencing anxiety and panic disorder; law enforcement officers and other first responders; members of the LGBTQIA+ community; and women who are strengthening their boundaries and learning to use their voice with greater confidence. My goal is to help you gain insight, build effective tools, and move toward a more grounded, empowered, and authentic life.
