Jessica Kawamoto • MA, LCMHC, LCAS

The chance to be heard and seen with warmth and compassion is what I strive to provide in my therapy sessions. We’ll work together at a pace that you are comfortable with in a collaborative conversation that validates your life experiences. It may take some time to build trust but my hope is that you can speak unfiltered about whatever life circumstances have brought you to therapy.

I specialize in addiction, trauma, symptoms of anxiety/depression, mood disorders, life transitions, grief/loss, and/or simply life stressors in general. I utilize multiple therapy styles to include person-centered, cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused and psychodynamic. I enjoy working with adults as well as Veterans since I’m a Veteran as well.

Sometimes the idea of going to therapy and talking to a stranger about life stressors can be worrying. Whether you're nervous or excited or both, I look forward to meeting you. I have a sincere admiration for those seeking growth and change and it gives me a great sense of fulfillment to be part of your process.
