Brenna Smith MA, LCMHCA
Most of us have spent enough time trying to hold it all together, power through, overthink it, fix it, numb it, optimize it, or pretend we’re fine. Whatever brought you to this moment, you’re in the right place. Here, we pause, deepen awareness, and transform.
I work with adults 18+ navigating anxiety, social anxiety, burnout, perfectionism, impostor syndrome, self-esteem, identity shifts, depression, relationship challenges, and career. Many of my clients are capable, high-functioning individuals who are quietly struggling in ways that are not always visible to others. I specialize in working with college students and adults moving through periods of transition, stress, and personal growth with greater clarity and resilience.
I bring a genuine warm presence and clinical depth to this work that is evidence-based, collaborative, holistic, and tailored to you.
As a certified mindfulness teacher with specialized neuroscience-based anxiety training, I help clients interrupt the worry loops and behavioral patterns that keep anxiety going. I also integrate a nervous system-informed perspective supporting clients in shifting the ways chronic stress shapes emotional responses, behavior, and relationships. I draw from ACT, IFS, DBT, mindfulness, Polyvagal Theory, and EMDR focused trauma-informed care. Together we move from insight into intentional action toward a life that feels genuinely aligned with who you are.
I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University, with clinical training at the Davidson College Counseling Center. Prior to becoming a therapist, I spent over two decades working across the public and private sectors, including executive leadership roles. That background gives me a real world perspective on the pressures and demands many of my client’s face.
It would be an honor to support your journey.
