What has it meant for you to cope with the pressures of being a person of color in America? How have the challenges of not being heard or celebrated impacted your daily life? Carrying the burdens of racial trauma, depression, and anxiety can be an uphill battle. If this is true for you, then therapy can help you to lighten that load. You should feel empowered and supported while standing in your truth.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 5 years’ experience of aiding clients with emotional difficulties including depression and various traumas, including racial trauma. I am an alum of Howard University and have a Master of Social Work degree. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and EMDR modalities in my work, as well as incorporating person-centered and trauma-informed care with every client. I am dedicated to building a safe space for clients to be open and honest about their personal challenges, as well as identifying their personal strengths. I have supported people of color as they persevere through tough times to live their best lives.
Participating in therapy is a big step that can often feel intimidating, but you've already made progress by seeking out support. Reach out to me to set up a consultation call and take yet another step toward your goals
